Springtown is 17-6 overall and 3-0 in district play so far in first round action. Kennedale is 14-17 overall and 2-0 in district play. In MaxPreps rankings, Springtown is ranked #9 in state Class 4A while Kennedale is #13.
They have not faced each other this year but they do share a number of common opponents. Both teams have defeated China Springs, Brock, Midlothian Heritage and Mineral Wells. Springtown lost to Graham while Kennedale defeated Graham. Kennedale lost to Lorena and Glen Rose while Springtown won both games. Kennedale has played 13 teams that were with 5A or 6A teams.
