The Kennedale Lady Kats ended their volleyball season this year at 25-18 overall and 11-1 in district play, winning a district co-championship, a bi-district title and becoming an area qualifier in the process. {{more:Read more…}}
Kennedale also finished the year ranked as MaxPreps #14 statewide in Class 4A.
As a result of their play this year, nine Lady Kats and their coach were named to the All-District Team for District 7-4A. In addition, nine scholar athletes earned All-Academic distinctions for District 7-4A.

Head Coach Jennifer Patterson told the Kennedale News by email,
?Iam proud of the girls and the season that we had. Through thick and thin, they
bonded and became a strong unit. The fact that every member of the team was
awarded an All District nod shows how well they truly performed. They not only
performed on the court, but in the classroom as well with every member of the
Varsity receiving the Academic All District award.?
?I have no doubt that our seniors aregoing to be an undeniable influence on the world. They have successful futures
ahead of them. For those remaining at Kennedale, we will take the lessons
learned this year and continue to build a dominant volleyball program.
Playoff update:
Kennedale entered as the top seed from District 7-4A and played Midlothian Heritage winning the game 3-1. In area play Kennedale played Burkburnett (32-7, 7-1) from District 6-4A losing 3-1 in a very close match. Burkburnett in turn loss 3-1 to Glen Rose (40-4, 12-0) from District 8-4A. Glen Rose defeated Monahans (23-12, 7-1) 3-0 in the regional semi-finals but lost to Bushland (43-3, 8-0) by score of 3-1 in the region finals. Bushland is now in the state championships that will be played this week (November 16-19) in Garland, Texas.
