Wildcats goal tonight win district title outright

The Kennedale Wildcats (21-10, 10-0) secured at least a tie for the district title last Tuesday night against 4th Place Lake Worth and are going for an outright title tonight when they travel to Springtown to take on the Porcupines. {{more:Read more …}}
 
Springtown is currently in 5th place in District 7-4A at 8-19, 3-7. Kennedale holds a two game lead over 2nd place Mineral Wells at 19-6, 8-2. Kennedale?s remaining game is against Benbrook next Tuesday night. Benbrook is tied with Diamond Hill for 6th place in the district.

Game Summary:
 
In a low scoring game for the district leading Kennedale Wildcats, who had been averaging 60 points per game, the Bullfrogs from Lake Worth were able to slow down the pace but couldn?t make up the difference on the scoreboard.
 

Kennedale led after Q1 14-9 thanks to the shooting of {{t2:Uniikye Washington (Jr): }} who scored 10 of his 16 points in the first half. {{t2:Chris Saulsby (Sr): }} tossed in 5 of his 7 total points in that first quarter to help the cause. At halftime Kennedale remained in the lead 26-19. Lake Worth stepped it up in the 4th quarter after falling behind by 12 points in Q3 at 36-24. {{t2:Tre Jones (So): }} matched the Frogs surged in the forth by putting in 12 of his 22 game leading points in that final stretch.
