Incident Reports …
2/5 – Application for Mental Detention and Observation – At 11:48 a.m. officers responded to a report of a male threatening to harm himself. Family members had become concerned that the male needed to seek a doctor?s care for assistance in dealing with some severe personal problems. After determining that the male was a danger to himself, officers took him into custody after a brief period of resistance. He was transported to JPS Hospital for observation.
2/6 – Application for Mental Detention and Observation – At 12:59 a.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. A father and son, both adults, had been in an argument and the son stated as officers entered the home that he was going to ?just kill himself.? The son continued to exhibit irrational behavior and then stated that he did not want to harm himself. Officers determined that the male had been drinking alcohol and was a danger to himself. After a short struggle with officers he was handcuffed and transported to JPS Hospital. The male continued to resist the officer and act out irrationally after arriving at the facility.
2/5 – Disorderly Conduct ? North Road: At 10:03 a.m. officers responded to a complaint of a male shooting a pellet gun at his home. The suspect, a known male who lives in the same neighborhood, had been shooting a pellet gun over the roof of the complainant?s home when the owner asked him to stop. The suspect shot the weapon again and then cursed at the home owner. The suspect was issued a citation and released.
2/6 – Driving While Intoxicated – 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 12:37 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for erratic driving. The male, who smelled of an alcoholic beverage, admitted to drinking earlier in the evening. The driver was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. He was arrested and transported to jail for booking. A warrant was obtained for a blood sample, which was drawn by jail medical staff.
2/7 – Assault (Bodily Injury) – 900 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: At 1:20 p.m. a school resource officer was notified of a possible assault that occurred during school hours. After interviewing the suspects witnesses, and the victim the officer was able to determine that the suspects did commit assault causing bodily injury.
2/6 ? Theft – $750 to $2,500 – Wildcat Way: At 9:00 a.m. a school resource officer received a report of a stolen laptop computer. The item was valued at $900.00.
2/6 ? Manufacture/Delivery of Control Substance – 1300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 4:41 p.m. officers responded to a report of an intoxicated person. A male was observed coming out of a business and walking to a vehicle. The vehicle had warrants attached to the license plate for the registered owner. As officers made contact, the male admitted that the warrants were his but stated he had sat them out at Mansfield. During the interview of the male, officers located methamphetamine in the vehicle. The male was arrested for the narcotics and transported to jail for booking.
2/6 – Assault Family Violence (Bodily Injury) – At 6:25 p.m. officers responded to a domestic assault. An adult male had been in a physical altercation with his ex-girlfriend?s adult son. The male was bloodied and the son claimed to have been assaulted by the male hitting him in the head with a beer bottle. The male was transported to Arlington Medical Center for treatment while statements were taken from everyone present. Charges are pending further investigation.
2/8 – Assault (Bodily Injury) – 900 block of Wildcat Way: A female victim reported that she was assaulted by another female, who struck her in the back of the head as she walked away from a verbal altercation. The offense was captured on video, which was reviewed by the officer. A charge was filed at the juvenile justice center.
2/8 – Application for Mental Detention and Observation – At 2:53 p.m. officers responded to a welfare check. An adult female reported that she had changed medications for an emotional condition and the medication was causing her to think irrationally. She was concerned about possibly harming family members and desired transport to a private hospital. Officers transported her to a nearby hospital for observation and treatment.
2/10 – Application for Mental Detention and Observation – At 11:27 p.m. officers responded to a report of an emotionally disturbed person. An intoxicated female was located in the driveway of the residence. The female admitted to being intoxicated and stated she was having trouble dealing with a personal issue. The female told officers that she felt like she needed help in dealing with her emotions. The female was transported to JPS Hospital for observation and treatment.
2/10 – Criminal Mischief $100 to $750 – At 4:35 p.m. officers responded to a report of damage to a motor vehicle. Officers observed a pick-up truck with several windows broken out. The truck was parked in the driveway of residence that had no connection to the truck. The vehicle owner had parked in the driveway and left it without permission. As officers examined the truck they found a cell phone in the vehicle that did not belong there. The phone belonged to the residence owner, who acknowledged committing the damage. He stated that he was mad that the truck was parked in his driveway. The suspect was arrested and charged with the damage.
2/11 – Public Intoxication – At 5:20 p.m. an officer responded to an intoxicated person. A home owner reported that his adult son was refusing to leave the property and was under the influence of an unknown narcotic. The officer placed the suspect under arrest for the intoxication and transported him to jail for booking.
