Robert Jefferson (R.J.) Lackey, of Kennedale, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Funeral Service is 2 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2017 at Emerald Hills Funeral Home, Kennedale. {{more:READ MORE …}} He was 103 years old.R.J. was born in Haskell, Texas. He moved to Tarrant County, where he raised his family and retired from Bell Helicopter. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bea Lackey; parents, John and Beulah Lackey; 6 siblings; and granddaughter, Teresa Soward.
He is survived by his daughter, Pat Hall and husband, Les; son, Bob Lackey and wife, Debbie; stepsons, Buddy Watson, Gerald Watson and wife Elois; 4 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
