Cats had five players with multiple hits ? JD Padgett (3-2, 1 2B, 1 RBI); Aaron Herrera (3-2, 1 RBI); Reed Saenz (3-2, 3 RBI); Bryce Hackett (4-2, 3 RBI); and, Cole Caruthers (3-2, 1 RBI). Austin Crabtree hit a double helping to get 3 RBIs. Jared Taylor also hit a double and earned 2 RBIs.

? Kennedale vs Diamond Hill-Jarvis 11-0 (W)

Bryce Hackett was almost a

one-man wrecking crew in the shut out.

• Hackett

  didn?t allow a single run in the 11-0 win over Diamond Hill at Jet Teague

  Ballpark in Kennedale. Hackett, facing 18 batters, struck out 10 in 71 pitches

  while allowing one run and walking 2 in 5 innings on the mound.

• Hackett also helped

  himself by driving in 5 RBIs while going 3-2 at the plate with a homerun and a

  triple. Ethan Wood got an extra base hit

  with a double, going 3-2 and getting 2 RBIs. Also getting hits for the Cats was Reed Saenz who

  went 2-2 with 1 RBI.

• The Cats struck

  early scoring 5 runs in the 1^st followed by 3 in the 2^nd. Getting no one across in the 3^rd,

  the Cats found the plate three more times in the 4^th. That would be

  all the Wildcats needed to claim the win.

Tuesday April 11

Kennedale @ Castleberry 5-0 (W)

• Once again the

  pitching staff stepped-up for the Kennedale Wildcats with Brayden Sewell

  throwing a shutout against the Castleberry Lions who are in a battle for second place in

  District 7-4A. The Wildcats sit on top

  of the standings.

• Sewell faced 25

  batters, throwing out 10 in 94 pitches while allowing 4 hits and walking no one.

• Seven Wildcats got

  hits with JD Padgett with the hot bat, hitting a double while going 4-3 at the

  plate. Others getting hits were Sewell (1 RBI), Aaron Herrera, Jared Taylor (1 RBI),

  Bryce Hackett (1 RBI), Cole Carruthers (1 RBI) and Austin Crabtree.

Kennnedale will visit Springtown next Tuesday, April 25. Game time 7:30 pm.
