Wildcats enter playoffs as #1 seed from District 7-4A
The Kennedale Wildcat Baseball team, after earning their first district title since 2013, will play a best 2 of 3 series with Stephenville, this weekend in a bi-district UIL playoff game. {{more: CONTINUE …}}
- Game One will be on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. in Stephenville.
- Game Two will be played at 2 p.m. back in Kennedale.
- Game Three, if needed, will follow at 4:30 p.m. also in Kennedale.
Stephenville and Kennedale have played two games this season with Stephenville winning on February 25 by a score of 9-7 and again on March 4 by 13-8.
The Yellow Jackets from Stephenville are 15-6-3 overall and finished 6-5 in District 8-4A behind Godley (20-3-1), Midlothian Heritage (21-6-0) and Alvarado (16-9-1) in,arguably, one of the strongest districts in the region. Kennedale does own two wins over Midlothian Heritage (8-6, 5-2) and a hair?s breadth lost to Godley 11-2.
Kennedale is 17-8, 11-1 and winner of its last 11 games. This is the Wildcat?s 21st straight appearance in the playoffs, dating back to 1996.
