These reports and others were in addition to on-going investigations. These do not include calls where no report was written. Some of the offenses, after further investigation, may have been deemed unfounded
 
Incident Reports April 16-22 …
 
4/16 – Possession Drug Paraphernalia – Cross Street: At 9:08 p.m. an officer responded to a suspicious vehicle report. The vehicle was located and contained four occupants. Upon contacting the driver the officer was able to smell an odor of marijuana. The driver admitted they had been smoking a marijuana cigarette earlier. Paraphernalia was still in the vehicle and the driver was issued a citation.
 
4/17 – Theft Under $100 – W. Kennedale Parkway: At 4:32 p.m. an officer responded to a theft report. A male and female suspect removed four cases of beer from a convenience store and fled the scene in a blue van.

4/18 – Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) – W. Kennedale Parkway: At 6:06 a.m. a victim called police to report that he was assaulted by his girlfriend. The victim stated that he was driving his girlfriend?s car with her in the passenger seat when she struck him with her fist. The assault was the result of the female?s anger at the car overheating while the victim was driving it. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

4/18 – Vehicle Burglary – Cross Creek Drive: At 7:18 a.m. a victim reported that two vehicles belonging to family members were entered during the overnight hours. Suspect(s) removed two watches and a laptop computer. The vehicles were parked in the driveway and were not locked.

4/18 – Vehicle Burglary – Coker Valley Drive: At 8:43 a.m. a victim reported that his unlocked pickup truck had been burglarized overnight. A .25 caliber handgun was taken from the vehicle by the suspect(s).

4/18 – Vehicle Burglary – Cross Creek Drive: At 7:25 a.m. a victim reported that his pickup truck was entered overnight. Suspect(s) took a 9 mm handgun. The truck was parked in the driveway and did not show signs of forced entry.

4/18 – Vehicle Burglary – Cross Creek Drive: At 7:30 a.m. a victim reported that suspect(s) entered his vehicles that were parked in the driveway. During the overnight hours unknown person(s) removed cash, checks, and electronic equipment. No forced entry was observed on the vehicles.

4/19 – Abandoned/ Found Property – 3200 block of Joplin Road: At 9:26 a.m. an officer received a report of abandoned property. Several identifying cards were found on the roadway. The items were entered into property and evidence for safe keeping until the owner is contacted.

4/21 – Theft $750 to $2,500 – Bowman Springs Road: At 11:20 a.m. a complainant reported that a trailer was taken from a private school. The trailer had been secured with a lock and chain and was empty.

4/25 – Credit/ Debit Card Abuse – Pine Meadows Drive: At 2:30 p.m. a victim reported that her MasterCard number was used to make an unauthorized purchase. The victim had no idea who may have used the number or how they obtained it.

4/25 – Driving While Intoxicated – W. Kennedale Parkway: At 6:23 p.m. an officer responded to a major accident. The driver of a vehicle had struck the city limit monument sign at Kennedale Parkway and I-20. The driver was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment and was arrested for DWI. He was transported to jail where a sample of his blood was obtained and entered into evidence. He was booked in without incident.

4/26 – Disorderly Conduct (Obscene Language) – E. Kennedale Parkway: At 4:57 p.m. an officer received a report that an employee of a salvage yard had used a racial epithet toward a customer. The customer, who is African-American, stated that the employee had used the epithet three different times during their conversation. The employee, who is Latino, reported that the customer had used a racial epithet directed toward him as well. Neither person wanted to press charges.

4/27 – Burglary – W. Kennedale Parkway: At 5:27 a.m. a victim reported that his business was burglarized by a male who broke out the front door window glass. The suspect entered the business and removed several single packs of cigarettes. The entire offense was captured on security video.

4/28 – Abandoned/ Found Property – 400 block of Municipal Drive: During the city?s spring clean-up, a woman?s wallet containing a driver?s license and credit card was found in the 1200 block of Kennedale Parkway. The wallet was turned over to police by a city staff member. Attempts to contact the owner were unsuccessful and the wallet was placed in property for safe keeping.

4/28 – Evading Arrest or Detention – W. Kennedale Parkway: At 9:23 officers were investigating a theft report when a hit and run accident occurred on the same property. The driver fled the scene but was identified by a bystander. Officers went to the driver?s home in Mansfield to interview him and issue a citation for the accident but the driver fled on foot. After a brief foot chase the driver was placed under arrest for evading. He was transported to jail for booking.

4/29 – Possession Drug Paraphernalia – W. Kennedale Parkway: At 10:08 a.m. an officer responded to a report of a suspicious male ?cooking? narcotic in a spoon on the roadside. The male was located walking on Kennedale Parkway. During the interview it was determined that the male was in possession of a methamphetamine pipe but no spoon was located. He was cited for the pipe, which was seized as evidence.
