This is the seventh year for this very special event run from Kennedale Town Center. It is a benefit for a special foundation supporting childhood victims of cancer. {{more: Read More … }}
 

Called the Brooke Hester Hustle, it is a 5k and 1 mile fun run to benefitting “Brooke’s Blossoming Hope for Childhood Cancer Foundation” a 501c3 charity to benefit pediatric cancer patients and research.

 
This is a family-friendly event. Children under six years of age may participate in the 1 Mile Fun Run for FREE. It is also pooch friendly. It also holds special meaning for local residents. To find out why, read a previous KNews story at A cause that hits close to home.
 
If your name is Brooke, you may participate for FREE, but you will not be eligible for cash awards. Dogs may participate in the 5K or 1 Mile for only $10, and will receive a bandana.
 
Race Options and Fees …

  • 5K – Individual cost

    $20.00, after July 31 $22.00 REGISTER

  • Mile Fun Run – 16/Older cost $20.00, after Aug 16 $25.00 REGISTER

  • Mile Fun Run –

    Ages 11 – 15 cost $15.00 REGISTER

  • Mile Fun Run 10

    & Younger cost $0.00 REGISTER

  • Dog – 5K or Mile

    – Four-Legged Friend cost $10.00 REGISTER

Prize Money …
  • $100 to top male and female in timed 5k
  • $50 for second male and female
  • $25 for 3rd male and female
  • $100 to male if course record is broken (15:35.9)
  • $100 to female if course record is broken (18:17.3)
Special Drawing …

There will also be a drawing for 2 Cowboys tickets. Tickets are for Saturday, August 19th, at 6pm, against the Indianapolis Colts. Section 120, Row 1, Seats 7 & 8. Parking is not included. Must be present to win. No Hester family members are eligible to win.

Time and place …
 

The event takes place at the Kennedale Town Center with the 1 mile Fun Run scheduled at 8 am and the the 5K follows at 8:30 am.

 
Packet Pick Up will take place at The Runner in Arlington Thursday and Friday, August 17 & 18.
 
If you register online after August 16 at 2PM, you MUST pick up your packet on race day at the race site.
