Hello Kennedale Community and Friends,
?
My name is Julie Webb and I am running for Kennedale School Board Place 2. {{more: continue …}}
?
I grew up in Kennedale and attended Kennedale Schools. I continued my education at Abilene Christian University, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies.
?
My husband and I have both been involved with Kennedale ISD since returning “home.”? My oldest daughter is a 2nd grader at James F. Delaney Elementary and my youngest will attend J.F. Delaney this Fall.
?
My involvement in KISD includes:
?

? Establishing Delaney’s PTO and serving as the PTO President for the past several years,

? contributing as a member of the DEIC Committee,

? Volunteering as a member of the Delaney Site Based Committee,

? Serving on the Safety Audit Committee, and

? Fostering a donation/mentoring relationship between my local church and Delaney Elementary.
?

In addition to my school commitments, I am an active member of my church where I have served on the Women’s Committee, Family Enrichment Committee, and volunteer in the Children’s Ministry.

?
I began my KISD journey as a student, observed the classroom as a KISD Substitute Teacher, and continued involvement as a community member/KISD Parent.
?
Most recently, I was appointed to Place 2 of the KISD School Board to fill the seat of a retired trustee, Rhonda Barnes. Over the past 6 months, I have completed 13 hours of school board further education, observed and discussed various issues, and have experienced what it means to be a school board trustee.
?
With your vote this Spring, I will continue working hard to ensure our teachers, staff, and students have the right tools to reach their greatest potential.
?
