• The Kennedale Lady Kat softball team lost their first round playoff game Thursday night against Venus 8-1. {{more: continue …}}This was a one game playoff with the winner advancing to area round. The young Lady Kats finished at 12-12 and in third place in District 7-4A.??

• The Kennedale Wildcat baseball team will play their final district game tonight against Benbrook HS at Goldstein Field. Game time is 7:30 p.m. The Wildcats, who have already won the district title, are aiming for an undefeated district record and a 20 win regular season. Currently, they are at 19-5-1, 11-0. This week, the Cats have entered the Top 25 in Class 4A at #21. They will play VR Eaton HS Saturday 12 noon in a pre-playoff game at Kennedale High School.

• KHS Track has 14 Lady Kats and Wildcats competing in the Region 1 meet in Lubbock this week. Both teams won the district track title earlier this month. A week ago in the UIL Track and Field Area round, the Lady Kats finished 2nd and the Wildcats finished 4th in the UIL Area round.
