The Kennedale Rotary Flag Program has been very successful fundraiser for the local? service club over the years and the 2018 Program is about to kick off. {{more: continue …}}?
The Rotary Club, for an annual $40 fee, will deliver an American flag curbside to your property on six holidays. Following each holiday, club members and volunteers will collect, clean and store the flag and standard to preserve the flag’s integrity. The holidays include Memorial Day – Flag Day – Independence Day – Labor Day – Patriots Day – Veterans Day.

The Flag Subscription Program is the primary fundraiser for Kennedale Rotary, the city’s only civic organization. Your generosity helps fund local and international charitable causes. Over the last years, funds raised through the Flag subscription program have supported the following specific programs, in additional to other more general Rotary philanthropic causes.?
- Kennedale Angel Tree: (in conjunction with the Kennedale Professional Firefighter Association): This program provides coats, clothing and school uniforms to underserved children in the Kennedale ISD.
- Rotary International Four-Way Speech Contest: A local and regional event for high school students, in which the top three winners receive cash prizes intended to be applied toward furthering their education.
- Rotary International End Polio Now campaign: Led by Rotary International, the scourge of polio has been virtually eradicated throughout the world.
- Rotary Youth Exchange: This program fosters international goodwill and cultural understanding by providing high school students throughout the world, the opportunity to live for up to a year in a foreign country. These students are among the brightest and most talented in each country. Many have gone on to become leaders in their respective nations who have an appreciation and understanding of international cultural differences.
- Kennedale Library: Our speaker?s program provides a book donation to the Library on behalf of Rotary and the Speaker. Currently the program donates 12 books per quarter to the Kennedale Library.
