The Kennedale Lady Kat softball team made short work of Castleberry winning 12-0 and 15-3 in a bi-district match-up last weekend. It was a best of three playoff series, but the Kats needed only the first two games to beat the Lady Lions and claim the bi-district title. {{more: continue …}}

A young team this year, Kennedale (15-14-0, 4-5) was a 2nd seed out of District 10-4A and Castleberry (10-11-1, 5-5) was a 3rd seed out of District 9-4A. District 11 swept District 10 and all four teams in Kennedale’s district advanced to the area round for this week.?
The Lady Kats played in a four team district, finishing behind #1 Crandall (15-3-3), #2 Sunnyvalle (11-17-1, 4-5) and ahead of #4 Carrollton Ranchview (4-13-0, 2-7). TGCA has Crandall ranked #9 in Class 4A.

Next up for the Lady Kats is Aubrey (22-1-2, 10-0). Aubrey was the winner of District 11-4A. TGCA has Aubrey ranked #2 in Class 4A. This is the best of three series for the area title.
