Kats earn 18th win of the season

The Kennedale Lady Kats volleyball started the winning early on Friday before passing it on to the Wildcats later in the evening. The Lady Kats defeated Mansfield Legacy in 3 sets in a 5:30 pm match while the Kennedale Wildcat football team, playing at 7:30 pm, staged a come-from-behind win over Midlothian Heritage for their first win of the season.?{{more: continue …}}

The Lady Kats with back-to-back losses to state ranked upper-level teams, got back on their winning track by beating 5A Mansfield Legacy by scores of 25-21, 25-23 and 25-19. For the Lady Kats, this was the 18th win compared to 6 losses on the season.

Up next, is 5A Eagle Mtn-Saginaw Boswell High School. Kennedale will travel to the Lady Pioneer?s home court next Tuesday, September 10, 2019. Game time for the varsity game is 6:30 p.m.

Boswell has a record of 17-12 (MaxPreps) and is ranked #7 by MaxPreps while the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) has Boswell at #19 in Class 5A in their last poll.

After the Boswell match, Kennedale, who is currently ranked #20 by the TGCA, will start defense of their district title against Fort Worth Benbrook HS (11-9) on Friday, September 13, 2019.
