?Brandon Isensee, a Kennedale High School Senior, has been named a 2019 National Merit Commended Student as well as, a National Hispanic Scholar. {{more: continue …}}?After taking the PSAT last year as a junior, he learned that his score was one of 50,000 highest across the nation out of 1.5 million that took the exam. From that list Isensee was selected as a Commended scholar. This puts him in a group of approximately 3%? of total to be so honored.?
Isensee has been part of a UIL academic team from the high school that has represented Kennedale at state level competition for the last 2 years. Last year the team claimed 2nd place at regionals.?
Isensee also competes for the KHS archery team. At
the Texas Nationals last year, he finished 3rd overall in the team scores while Kennedale High finished in 10th place among all teams and #2 in the small school
standings.
