Last year was a break out year for the four year old program when Benbrook finished behind Kennedale at 5-1 in district and 8-3 for the year. Like Kennedale, Benbrook returned just 6 starters and had to retool for this year.?Benbrook will close out their season after playing Kennedale with a game against Castleberry (5-3, 2-2) who is also battling for a playoff spot.?The Bobcats have wins against Community (28-24), Krum (28-27), Western Hills (37-22), Diamond Hill Jarvis (49-0). ?Last Thursday, it was a night of bad weather and an equally rough game that lasted just a half of regulation play. Kennedale won it really in the first quarter when it was 32-0. When the game was called at the beginning of the second half, the score was 46-0.?Kennedale scored on every possession and then some. The Cats scored on a 51 yard punt return (JD Coffey), two safeties and five touchdowns (Cameron Hynson 13yds, Marlete Joyner 12yds, Keirahyin Brown 9yds and 66yds, and Micah Conner 9 yds).?The outmatched Eagles ended up with a negative 16 yards. The Wildcats needed just 151 yards and 6 first downs to score their 46 points.?Senior Night at Kennedale …??The game time for this week’s game against the Benbrook Bobcats on Friday is 7:30 pm at Wildcat Stadium in Kennedale.
