The Kennedale City Council will meet in regular session Tuesday evening with a work session set for 5:30 PM followed by the regular session at 7 PM. Both meetings are open to the public.

The work session will have two topics of general interest.? (Note: Council Work Session are an opportunity for Council members to review various presentations/proposals from staff, to ask questions?and/or discuss items that may be listed on the regular agenda on the upcoming or some future date.??The items listed are not action items and no formal decisions made. The public is invited to attend and listen. There is no public forum at these sessions).?

The Council in work session will review presentations and discuss the following items?
  • Proposals for providing safer ways for students, parents and residents to get to and from school campuses – options include more sidewalks, curb improvements with curb ramps and or addition stop signs.? The areas affected by these items would be the neighorhoods surrounding James Arthur Intermediate and James Delaney Elementary. See maps and Proposal Sidewalk

    and Curve Improvement Plan.

This part of an effort to obtain funding from the North Central Texas Council of Governments

(NCTCOG) who has requested proposals for Safe Routes to School (SRTS) programs.? Kennedale’s proposal is working its way through the process.? See Staff

  • Discuss current regulations on farmers markets –

    The purpose of this discussion items is to provide information to the Council

    relating to farmers markets and local regulations including city, county and

    state regulations. For more detail see Staff

  • Discussion on the Greenways Project – this an update on a project that the city is working on with the National Park Service and the UTA Master City and Regional Planning program to assist in developing longterm plans for trails, green spaces and related conservation efforts. A future meetings with public involvement will be scheduled later this year and in the Spring 2020. For more informaton see Staff
