The ride will serve several purposes. It will be a celebration of freedom, a commemorative to the lives lost in the 9/11 attack in 2001 and a way to collect teddy bears that will be donated to local police officers to distribute during their patrols.
According to ride coordinator George “Tank” Sherman, it will include a number of motorcycle groups from around the Noth Texas area.
The ride will officially begin at Johnny O’s, 9905 Camp Bowie in Fort Worth at 11am on Saturday, September 10. It is free to ride but a donation of a teddy bear is wanted.
It will wind its way to Kennedale’s 9/11 Memorial in TownCenter Park at 405 Municpal Drive, Kennedale, TX 76060, just off of Kennedale Parkway (B287) where a memorial will be held at 1 p.m.
