A day for remembrance – Community Memorial Day event

The community is invited to the annual ?flying the flags? on graves of those who served the nation on Saturday, May 28th starting at noon.

This annual event is hosted by Emerald Hills Memorial Park along with the local Boy Scout Troop 35/Cub Scout Pack 35 and the Kennedale Rotary Club.

It will start with a short program that will include recognitions of veterans and current member of the armed forces. There will also be a scout hot dog lunch served. The planting of flags on the graves of veterans will follow.

 

Veterans are welcomed to share their experiences.
