Betty Jo Middleton 1929 – 2014

Betty Jo Tyson Middleton, 85, went to her heavenly reward on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Monday at Kennedale First United Methodist Church, 229 West 4th St., Kennedale. {{more}}

 

She was born June 11, 1929 in Waco to Sally Clay Mooney and Marshall Tyson and had four siblings. She moved to Kennedale as a young child, attended school there and Polytechnical High School and she earned a journalism degree from North Texas Women’s College.

 

Betty married David Benson Middleton on May 13, 1955, and had three daughters, Laurie, Lindy and Pat. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother to nine, great-grandmother to 10 and cherished her entire family. She was a faithful servant of Christ and an active member of the Kennedale First United Methodist Church. She was loved by many and her life was a testimony to all who knew her. She will be missed.
