The Wildcats (1-3) faced a well-balanced undefeated Argyle (3-0) team Friday night and came up short 45-7.
?
It was a game that the Cats could not make any mistakes and had to capitalize on the mistakes of the Eagles. With the kick-off, it seemed possible when Argyle fumbled on the runback. Kennedale had the ball 1st and 10 on the Eagles? 34 yard line. {{more}}?The Cats pick up 20 yards and the crowd was on its feet. A holding call and the play was for naught. Two plays on, in want looks like another big one for Kennedale, a chop block call brings it all back. The Wildcats were then facing a 3rd and 17 but a fumble on the next play ended with the Eagles in possession. Argyle scores six plays later.

This would be the night that Kennedale had.?The Cats didn?t make too many mistakes but when they happened they were momentum killers. Three fumbles with one loss along with six penalties and Kennedale ended up punting 7 times.?This is not to take anything away from Argyle. They lived up to their hype – 462 yards total offense with 241 on the ground and 221 yards on the air. They were forced to punt once. This is a team that has four players going to D1 schools – Arkansas, Texas Tech, Kansas State and Arkansas.
?
Kennedale ended the game with 210 yards with 45 of that in the air less than half of the usual total. Juwan Washington had 210 all-purpose yards – 97 rushing, 45 in receptions and 74 yards on kick returns. Donny Darville had 42 yards and Bradon Hull picked up 18 and passed for 45 yards. Taylor Thibeau and Hunter McGahan both got a sack apiece.

This week the Wildcats face a rebuilt Texarkana Texas team. This is another 4A team. The Texas Tigers finished 3-7 last year but are currently 2-1. The Cats will not catch a breather here.?Supposedly the players to watch are Anthony Rhone (Sr., LB) and Trey Walker (Jr., RB). While the team is not the caliber of Crowley (3-0), Mansfield Legacy (3-0) or Argyle, they are big and have some talent. They will be looking to revenge last year?s loss to the Wildcats.

This will be the last non-district game Kennedale plays before getting a week off. The Wildcats will play district rival Springtown on October 11 at Springtown.?Game will be played at Royse City High School. ?For directions http://www.texasbob.com/stadium/stadium.php?id=291??
