Delaney Elementary is a Pre-K through 4th grade campus and one of just two elementary schools in the KISD. {{more: Read more …}}The present campus opened in 1985 as a primary school under Principal James F. Delaney, who served as principal in the KISD for 40 years. For 21 years, he served as both principal of James Arthur Elementary and Kennedale Primary. Kennedale Primary School?s name was changed in 1995 to James Delaney Primary while he was still serving as principal.
The school has earned a number of academic recognitions through the years and meets or exceed standard set by the Texas Education Agency.

- Wash your hands before you eat … flush … warm cookies and cold milk are good for you …
- Live a balance life (learn, draw, paint, sing, dance, play and work) … take a nap every afternoon …
- When you go out in the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands, and stick together …
- Be aware of wonder … goldfish and hamster and white mice and even the little seed in the styrofoam cup ? they all die, so do we …
- Remember the Dick and Jane books and the first word you learned ? and the biggest word of them all – LOOK
