A blood drive will be held at Kennedale High School Wednesday, February 11 from 8-4 p.m.
 

The semi-annual is sponsored by the Kennedale

High School National Honor Society. It is community service project that has seen hundreds of donations each year. {{more}}

  • More than 41,000 blood donations are needed every day.
  • A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 pints of blood.

  • Blood cannot be manufactured ? it can only come from generous donors.
  • One donation can help save the lives of up to three people.
The Process:
 
The actual blood donation is a simple four-step process: registration, medical history and mini-physical, donation and refreshments. Every blood donor is given a mini-physical, checking the donor’s temperature, blood pressure, pulse and hemoglobin to ensure it is safe for the donor to give blood.
 
Requirements:
 
To donate you must be 17 (16 year-olds can donate with a Minor Donor

Permission Form signed by a parent or guardian); weight at least 110 pounds; eaten a meal within four hours

of donation; and, be in general good health. You will need to have a valid identification such as a driver?s

license, DMV identification card, passport, etc.

 
When and Where:
 
For those from the community who wish to give, check in at the front office at Kennedale High School at 901 Wildcat Way, Kennedale, TX 76060. You may give any time from 8-4 p.m. on Wednesday but the best time is from 12:30-4 in the afternoon.
