Memorial Mass: 10 am Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Saint Paul The Apostle Catholic Church 5508 Black Oak Lane Fort Worth, Texas 76114. Burial of his cremains to follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park Fort Worth, TX.
 

David had a love for music, and was an influential recording artist who worked for the Fort Worth School District in the 70’s as a music teacher. As a musician some of the groups he played for were The Generation and The Dantes. He played for Johnny High Country Music Review in Grand Prairie, Arlington and Fort Worth and played with Country stars such as Willie Nelson, Minnie Pearl and numerous others. He went to Nashville to record and has his music played in many venues in many cities across the United States.

 
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Moreno, brothers, Willie Moreno, Angel Moreno and Jorge Ortiz.
 
Survivors: Loving wife, Carmen Moreno; son, David Moreno Jr. and wife Anna; daughters, Melissa Moreno and Alexandra Moreno; parents, Genaro Moreno and wife Martha; brothers, Jerry Moreno Jr. and wife Gloria, Robert Ortiz and wife Teresa, and Ramon Ortiz; sisters, Ydalia Moreno, Maclovia Cortez, Odelia Gonzales and husband Roberto, Sylvia Dominguez, and Liza Zuniga and husband Gabriel; grandchildren, Natasha Moreno, Olivia Moreno, and David Moreno ; numerous aunts, uncles, cousin, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
