For the first time in recent memory all open positions for both the KISD School Board and the Kennedale City Council are contested with a total of six places open and 12 candidates (2 per place). {{more: continue …}}

The official election day is May 5, 2018. Early voting begins Monday April 23 and will run through Tuesday May 1, 2018. More @ www.cityofkennedale.com/election.

Kennedale City Council (In order of ballot placement)

Mayor:

  • Jan Joplin
  • Brian Johnson

City Council, Place 2:

  • Lary Adkins
  • Chris Pugh

City Council, Place 4:

  • Timothy Brestowski
  • Linda Rhodes

Two propositions:

Proposition A: Shall Sandra Lee, Council Person Place 3, be recalled and removed from office?

  • Yes
  • No

Propostion B: Shall Jan Joplin, Council Person Place 5, be recalled and removed from office?

  • Yes
  • No

There was a third candidate for the office of mayor, Tony Hatcher. He submitted a letter withdrawing from ballot on Friday, February 23, 2018.

KISD Trustee Place 1:

KISD Trustee Place 2:
