He was born in Campbell, Mo., on April 27, 1934. He married Joyce Annette Gordon on Sept. 18, 1959. James worked as a drill press operator for Bell Helicopter for 32 years. He was a deacon at Living Water Baptist Church in Kennedale.
James was a man of faith, integrity and love: love of Christ, love of family and love of fishing. He worked hard to support his family, which almost always included extended family. There were never too many people under his roof and care at any time. He was generous and giving in every way. As a 60-year resident of Arlington, James saw many changes during his lifetime. But his witness as a Christian man of faith never wavered. We all find comfort knowing he is now in the hands of his Savior.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bertha and George; sisters, Edna, Cora and Ruby; daughter, Regina Kay; and granddaughter Reagan Anne.
Survivors: His loving wife, Annette; daughters, Sharon Russell and husband, Johnny, Virginia Santillan and husband, Dimas, Glenda Peugh, Carla Luig and husband, Brian, and Jamie Salas; grandchildren, Danny, Corey, Ashley, Andrew, Preston, Claire, Kelcey, Paxton, Cheyenne, Colten, Shelby, Melissa, Alecea and Luis Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Noah, Kennedy and Ruby.
