KHS Choir earns excellent/superior ratings 10 advance to State

The Kennedale Choir program competed last week in the UIL annual Solo & Ensemble competition with great results according to KHS & KJHS Choir Director Matt Schenck. {{more:[read more]}}.

 

?We took 14 soloists and 3 ensembles and everyone either received a Class 1 (Superior) or Class 2 (Excellent) rating.” {{t2:Schenck: }} added, ?We also have 4 soloists and 1 ensemble that will compete at the State level Solo & Ensemble contest in late May.?

 
Receiving Excellent as Soloists:
  • Ashlyn Greenfield, Yadira Frias, Katie Groff, Tiffanny Haywood, Julissa Mireles, Julia Mosely, Brian Gomes, Haylee Schofield.

Receiving Excellent in Girls? Ensemble:

  • Yadira Frias, Katie Groff, Tiffanny Haywood, Adrienne Johnson, Julissa Mireles, Ruth Mitchell, Julia Mosely, Alexis Ramirez, Katlyn Shelton, Jordan Willingham.

Receiving Superior as Soloists:

  • William Badger, Celsey Ward-Braddock, Katelynn Goss*, Noah Wyckoff*, Lane Hubenak* and Leanne Blind*

Receiving Superior in Madrigal Ensemble*:

  • Leanne Blind, Richard Bui, Brian Gomes, Katelynn Goss, Ashlyn Greenfield, Lane Hubenak, Haylee Schofield, Katlyn Shelton, Celsey Ward-Braddock and Noah Wyckoff

Last year Kennedale sent nine members to the state

competitions. Returning for a second year are Richard Bui, Katelynn Goss, Brian

Gromes, Lane Hubenak, Haylee Schofield and Noah Wyckoff.
