Miss Alissa Boubel entered her single-person scene in Stage West?s ?Plays from the Neighbor-hood Play Contest? which included 322 scripts, short plays, and scenes from 14 schools across the Metroplex. Alissa?s mono-logue is one of only 17 entries that have been chosen to be professionally produced using seasoned designers, directors, and actors working alongside the kids. The students, including Miss Boubel, will present the Neighborhood Play Contest winning stories at the ?Festival of the Kid? this Spring on May 20th-22nd. She is the first student from Kennedale to participate in this contest. We are very proud of her accomplishments and hope many of you will join us in May to see her monologue produced.
