Police Department incident reports for the last week of December and the first weekend of the new year showed a rash of burglaries. These reports were in addition to on-going investigations. {{more}}These do not include calls where no report was written. Some of the offenses,

after further investigation, may have been deemed unfounded.

  • 12/28 – Identity Theft – Crestview Drive: At 12:45 p.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown had accessed his bank account and removed $5,172.52. The victim did not make the withdrawals and does not know who would have the information to access his account.
  • 12/29 – Burglary – 1300 block of Bowman Springs Road: At 9:00 a.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown removed a three-wheel scooter from his garage. The offense occurred overnight.
  • 12/29 – Burglary – 1200 block of N. Little School Road: At 10:09 p.m. officers responded to a burglar alarm at a business. On arrival they found that person(s) unknown had broken a front window and entered the business. A television, later valued at $400.00 by the owner, was ripped from the wall mount. Suspect(s) left through the back door.
  • 12/30 – Vehicle Burglary – 200 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 1:30 p.m. a victim reported that his unsecured car was entered by person(s) unknown. The vehicle was parked at a repair lot when the break-in occurred.
  • 12/30 – Burglary – 6300 block of Tealcove Drive: At 2:54 p.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown entered her apartment while she was away. Entry was made through the patio door. Suspect(s) removed $1,390.00 worth of electronics and glasses.
  • 12/30 – Burglary – 6300 block of Tealcove Drive: At 4:52 p.m. a victim reported that her apartment was burglarized while she was at work. Person(s) unknown forced open the front door and removed $1,670.00 in electronics and jewelry.
  • 12/31 – Burglary – 300 block of Bolen Road: A victim reported to police that her storage shed was entered by unknown person(s) who removed $500.00 in property.
  • 12/31 – Burglary – 6300 block of Tealcove Drive: At 6:30 p.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown entered her apartment while she was out of town. Entry was made by breaking the patio door. The apartment had been looked through but nothing appeared to be missing.
  • 12/31 – Assault Family Violence – Oakwood Lane: At 9:30 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. The injury was minor and a citation was issued.
  • 01/01 – Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) – North Road: At 8:22 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. The victim was assaulted by the roommate. The assault occurred for no apparent reason and the exhibited injury were consistent with being assaulted. The suspect was arrested and transported to jail for booking.
  • 01/01 – Possession of Marijuana – 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 6:43 p.m. officers responded to a suspicious vehicle call. The vehicle was occupied by a 21 year old male who was smoking marijuana. A pipe and bag containing marijuana was taken as evidence. The male was arrested and transported to jail for booking.
  • 01/02 – Burglary – 300 block of Bolen Road: At 5:05 p.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown broke the lock off of his rented storage unit and removed $5.600.00 in furniture and appliances.
