The Kennedale Lady Kat volleyball team (36-7) had a surprisingly easy victor over Farmersville last night in the UIL Region semifinals. Playing the once defeated Lady Farmers, Kennedale swept all three sets for a 3-0 win.? {{more: continue …}}

Farmersville (42-2), ranked #1 in Class 4A by the Texas Girls Coaches Association and #9 by MaxPreps, couldn?t find a consistent answer to Kennedale attack, losing 25-18, 25-22 and 25-13.

Region playoff match-up …

Kennedale, ranked #15 by MaxPreps and had climbed to #10 in the TGCA?s poll this past week, will play today at 1 PM against Celina (29-11). Celina is ranked #7 by MaxPreps and was not listed in the top 10 by TGCA earlier.

Celina eliminated #19 Bullard (40-6) yesterday in 3 sets 25-12, 25-11 and 25-13. Celina?s path to the region final includes 4th seed North Dallas 3-0, 3rd seed Lake Worth 3-0, 4th Sanger 3-0. Celina was the district champ for District 11/4A with a 9-1 record, winning out over Aubrey, Melissa and Sanger.
