Kennedale?s offensive and defensive machine was too much for the Dallas Carter Cowboys (1-4) Thursday night at Kincaide Field in Dallas as Kennedale took a non-conference win 70-27. {{more}}Playing in a mostly empty stadium, Kennedale (5-0) rolled up 690 yards to 103 yards for the Cowboys.. While Kennedale?s offense seemed unstoppable so did the Carter?s kickoff return team which scored three of the Carter?s four touchdowns for the evening.
Offensively, the Wildcats rushed 55 times for 690 yards with an average 12.5 yards per attempt, scored 10 touchdowns and never punted. On the negative side the Cats attempted one pass for an incompletion, fumbled and lost the ball twice and received 6 penalties for 65 yards.

The Carter Cowboys? offense rushed 38 times for 47 yards (1.24 per), went 3 for 10 passing for 57 yards, punted 3 times, fumbled 4 times losing 3 and had 6 penalties for 50 yards and scored once. On the plus side for Carter, the Cowboys return team had kickoff returns of 93, 100 and 88 yards for touchdowns.
Quardraiz Wadley (Sr) for Kennedale had a huge night carrying 24 times for 385 yards (16.0 yards per) and 6 touchdowns. Returning to play after sitting out last week game due to an injury, Dailyn Wells (Sr) carried 13 times for 162 yards (12.5 per) and 1 touchdown. Darren Hull (Jr) was 6/72 yds (12.0 per) and 1 touchdown followed by Kaiser McGlothen (Sr) 10/63 and Jaden Knowles (So) 1/5. Earning return yards were Devan Mason (So) with 30, McGlothen (Sr) with 17 and Ector Rivera (So) with 36. Jace Zeller (Sr) was 10 for 10 in extra points.
For Carter, Reginald Cole was 11/56 yards and the lead rusher. But Marquis Borner had 9 yards on 4 attempts, 46 yards on 2 receptions and then tacked on 188 yards on 2 KO returns to lead Carter in all-purpose yards with at least 243. Bernard Goodwater had only 5 offensive yards but added a 100 yard KO return to pad his stats.

In the second quarter Kennedale scored twice more and three times stopped Carter. After the first stop, Carter was forced to punt at the C36 and Kennedale started at the K36 , scoring in 6 plays with a Well?s 6 yd run at 6:09. Carter from the C32 then drove down to the K38 but was stopped on a 4th and 2. Kennedale then ate up most of the remaining time in a nine play drive, scoring on a Wadley 27 yard run with 11 seconds in half. The score at halftime was Kennedale 42-20.
In the second half, it was all Kennedale as the Cats scored on their next 4 possessions while stopping Carter on each of their possession with the exception of a 4th quarter 88 yard KO return by Carter?s Borner, his second of the game at 11:34 in the game. Darren Hull scored Kennedale?s last touchdown on a 49 yard run at 10:41 making the score 70-27.
Kennedale?s last possession came on a Carter fumble at their 8 yard line. With Kennedale sitting at the Carter 5 yard line, Barrett ordered three straight kneel downs, refusing to attempt another score.
Kennedale now has a week off before the Cats start a drive for their fourth straight district title with a game against Springtown October 9 at Springtown.
