Kennedale?s win gets a little national attention in USA Today

While calling Kennedale ?one of Texas? most powerful football program in 2017? the USA article highlights the running of junior running back DJ Kirven, who has had a relatively quiet season until last week?s 62-26 romp.

 

The Cats, 3-0 and ranked #7 in the Texas AP poll for Class 4A, are a ground base team that has produced many small quick and very fast backs. Kirven is no exception to that rule. Friday, he carried the ball 19 times, gaining 225 yards and scored 6 times.
