The Lady Kats (26-2) will play Jasper (23-3-1) Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. in the state finals. This is Kennedale?s second time to be in the finals, winning last year when the Kats defeated Princeton. Jasper is making their second appearance in the state playoffs. Jasper (23-3-1) is on a 17 game roll. Their last loss was to 5A Port Neches-Groves 3-2 on January 20. Their other losses have been to 6A Woodlands 3-1 and 5A Royse City 2-0. This year, Jasper has scored 158 goals to 17 allowed and have had 18 shutouts. Jasper got to the state final four this year by defeating Lorena 6-0, Little Cypress-Mauriceville 6-0, China Springs 9-0, Bay City 7-0, Hardin-Jefferson 4-1 and Salado 1-0. In the last Texas Girl Coaches Association poll, Jasper was ranked #3.
