The 7-4A District Co-Champions Kennedale Lady Kats (23-11, 9-1), start the 4A playoffs tonight against Springtown (9-23, 5-3) at 7:30 p.m at Chisholm Trail High School in north Fort Worth. {{more}}
Springtown finished in third place in District 8-4A behind Bridgeport (21-11, 7-1) and Decatur (19-11, 6-2). Springtown got a lift going into the playoffs with a 26-25 win over Decatur in the last game of the regular season.
Meanwhile, Kennedale will limp into the playoffs depleted with injuries and sore legs after losing a battle against Godley (19-5, 9-1) Friday night 55-40 as the district co-champions played each other for 1st and 2nd seed in tonight?s playoff games.

It was Godley?s night as they limited Kennedale to their lowest point production of the season. Kennedale?s average per game is nearly 60 points. Godley even stopped Kennedale?s trademark 3rd quarter scoring spree, allowing only 10 points.
Making over half of Kennedale?s total points was Evie Whorley (Jr) who also led all players on both sides of the ball with 22 points.
