Just about all the candidates for both the city and school board showed up for the ?Meet and Greet? the candidates at the KISD Performing Arts Center Tuesday night. The crowd included the Kennedale City Mayor Brian Johnson and the KISD Superintendent Gary Dugger. {{more}}
Candidates in attendance for open places on the KISD School Board were Rhonda Barnes (running opposed for Place 2), Leslie Carruthers (running unopposed in Place 1) and the two candidates for Place 3 on the KISD Board, Jeff Krieger and incumbent Joe Taylor.
For the City of Kennedale Council, attending was Mike Walker who is unopposed for Place 3 and the two candidates for Place 5, incumbent Frank Fernandez and Hollis Matthews.
Early voting has begun for local elections. City and School District voters can
vote at any early voting site in Tarrant County. Election Day is May 9.
Ninety-six people have voted in the first two days of early voting.
