Hayden Millis brought home the winning run to give the Kennedale Wildcats the lead in the sixth inning, as the Wildcats hung on to beat Mineral Wells 3-1 on Friday. With the score tied at one in the sixth inning, Millis came to the plate and singled, scoring Aaron Williams. {{more}}?Justin Jakubisin was a workhorse on the hill while bagging the win for Kennedale. Jakubisin pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks while striking out five.?The Wildcats jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. It started with a single from Brett Taylor with?two out and Zac Michener (walk) on base. Michener scored on the play.?Both pitchers kept the action limited until the top of the 6th. ?Austin Eggleston singled to first on a ground ball. Jake Michener then bunted to reached first sending courtesy runner Aaron Williams (Eggleston) to second. Millis then hit a line drive single which scored Williams and J Michener reached 3rd on error by the shortstop. Zac Michener hit a fly ball which scored Jake Michener but on a fielder choice Millis was out at second. The inning ended with a strike out by Brett?Taylor and a fly ball out by Jay Thomas. Jakubisin did the rest on the mound to insured the Wildcats 2 run lead by limiting the Rams to 7 batters over the next two innings.?The Rams managed to score one run in the first inning on an RBI single by Paden Patino.?Kennedale (15-5, 4-1) will play next at home in the annual Alumni game beginning at 3 p.m.??
