With restructuring of duties at the KISD administration offices, combined with the departure of Associate Superintendent Rick Edwards to be the Superintendent at Fairfield ISD, Pintavalle will fill a need in the growing secondary department which will include James Arthur Intermediate, Kennedale Junior High School and Kennedale High School. Her new job title is District Principal of Discipline and Discretionary Grants.
As with most job title it includes several different areas including the discipline programs, at-risk youth services, administrative representative for UIL academic and athletic activities, the district substitute program and preparation for the implementation of the new teacher appraisal system that is being developing by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) now.
Pintavalle reported that in addition, ?I will be traveling extensively this next year to all 20 regions, providing presentations and speaking with principals across the state as the President of TASSP.?
It is a major change for Pintavalle who has spent her career teaching, coaching and supervising junior and high school students. But, she sees it as an extension of what she has been doing and said, ?I am looking forward to this opportunity.?
