The 2013 Texas High School playoffs have begun for the Lady Kats and Wildcats. Here are the brackets

The Kennedale Lady Kats softball program is in its 20th year (?Platinum Season?) and once again in the playoffs. The Lady Kats won their first round game against Brownwood last week, 7-1. This Friday night the Kats will face Iowa Park, a frequent foe in the playoffs, in a regional quarterfinal game. This is a best of three game series being played at Bowie High School. Start time is 7 p.m. The second game will be played Saturday, May 11 at 5 p.m. also Bowie High School with the 3rd game, {{more}} if needed, to start 30 minutes afterwards. Head Coach is Amie Kirkpatrick with Assistant Coach Christina Rudiger (JV).

The Lady Kats have been in the playoffs every season and have two state titles (1998 and 2000). The Lady Kats are currently ranked #3 in the State of Texas Class 3A.

This Friday the Kennedale Wildcats play Brownwood High School of District 8-3A at Glen Rose High School in an area playoff game. This is a best of 3 game series. The first pitch is at 7:00 p.m. The second game will be on Saturday, May 11th with a 3:00 pm start time. If a third game is needed, it will follow the Saturday game 30 minutes later. The Wildcats coaches are Head Coach Jet Teague, Assistant Coaches Paul Trantham (JV)?and?Richard Earle (Freshmen).

The Wildcats are making their 18th straight appearance in the Texas UIL playoffs and have one state title (2011). The Wildcats are currently ranked number 6 in the State of Texas Class 3A.
