Two longtime friends, Megan Tucker and Makenna Kramer, are graduating this year from Kennedale High School and plan to use their musical talents at Southeastern Conference universities while pursuing their degrees.? ?{{more: continue …}}?
Megan Tucker – Mississippi State The two Wildcat Band members have recieved scholarship offers to continue their marching band careers at Mississippi State University and Mississippi University.?
Megan Tucker, one of this year’s Wildcat drum majors, accepted the? scholarship and will be attending Mississippi State in the fall.
Megan will be playing the piccolo and marching for the Famous Maroon Band. Megan plans to major in Computer Engineering.??
Makenna Kramer ? Ole Miss Makenna Kramer has accepted the band scholarship to Ole Miss and will be marching tuba for The Pride of South Band this fall as well.
Makenna was a section leader in this year’s state finalist band. She will be majoring in Radiologic Science.???Makenna and Megan have been best friends since their days at Patterson Elementary and will now continue their education at these two rival schools. In addition to these band scholarships, both have received academic scholarships.??This is a tribute to the quality of the band program at KHS and to Wildcat Band Director Erol Oktay, as well as, Kennedale ISD.
