Two former Cats doing well for Weatherford College baseball

Outfielder Jake Michener (.433 BA, 22 RBI, 35 runs, 14 SB), redshirted freshman transfer from Northeastern University and originally from Kennedale, earned All-Conference his first year in the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference.
 
Players of the week …
 
Michener and Tyler Perez, both from Kennedale Class of 2015, earned the North Texas College Athletic Conference player of the week awards last week for play against Temple.
 

Jake Michener was named the Position Player of the Week. The freshman outfielder had a .692 batting average for the week of April 30, to May 6. He had a double, four RBIs and four runs scored while the Coyotes won three of four against Temple College to close out the regular season.

 
Tyler Perez has been awarded the Pitcher of the Week. The sophomore right-hander threw a complete game one-hitter against Temple on May 3, in his second start of the year. Perez allowed one earned run with six strikeouts and two walks.
 
The Weatherford College baseball team is heading back to the postseason after finishing the regular season third in the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference.
 
The Coyotes (32-21 overall) faced Midland College this past weekend at Texas Tech University in Lubbock.
