For the second time this season, the Kennedale Wildcat basketball team (32-0, 9-0) beat the Springtown Porcupines in district play. With the win in Springtown, the Cats are assured of consecutive district championships and, barring the catastrophic, an undefeated regular season with just one game remaining.
Springtown, needing more firepower, just couldn?t keep the Wildcats from scoring. Closer than some games, Kennedale established a 6 point lead in the first quarter and had a 12 point lead by halftime. Kennedale ran away with it in the third quarter outscoring Springtown 26-13. {{more}}
Leading scoring for Kennedale was Aundre Jackson with 23 points. Following him was Ty Charles 22, Kelon Doss 17, V.J. Hughes 8, Brandon Conwright 6, Colton Otts 6, Daemar Jones 4, Kole Hohenberger 2 and Blake Ingram 1.
The Wildcats close out the regular season playing FTW Diamond Hill there on Tuesday night. Varsity will play at 8 p.m.
