Information Technology classes at Kennedale High School recently began a partnership with Dell Technologies, to provide training and supplies to teach students how to repair their products. On 2/27/23, Robert Johnson (Computer Technician Practicum) and Drew Hansen (Principles of Information Technology) completed the Dell course and passed their certification exam, and the district congratulates them on this accomplishment. Approximately 76 high school students in grades 9 through 12 are enrolled in a technology-related course and can become certified themselves. Such a certification means that students are now able to work on warranty covered devices. We will continue to train these students and ultimately, they will help repair district chromebooks. Once they earn their certification, they can also use this in the corporate world to apply for and gain higher paying jobs. Best of all, more students are in progress to receive their certifications. Way to go!
