? ?Entering the game last night the Wildcats (9-1, 4-0) who are in sole possession of the top spot in district 6-3A,needed a win to secure a playoff spot. The Cats did so in what has become a customary fashion – a huge score combined with a shutout. This one was a 52-0 win over Lake Worth (4-5, 2-2). This is the third straight shut out of a district opponent. Lake Worth falls into a tie for third with Mineral Wells. Springtown is in second place. Kennedale has one game left in regular season play Friday night at Mineral Wells (5-4, 2-2).

? ?From the beginning Kennedale dominated the Lake Worth, who were playing without several key players and lost their quarterback {{more}}to injury five minutes into the game. The Bullfrogs gained only 38 yards in the 1st quarter and could not get out of their end of the field while the Wildcats scored 17 points. Lake Worth did manage a 12 play drive late into the 1st quarter carrying over into the 2nd quarter. Starting from their twenty yard line and aided by a 15 yard penalty against Kennedale, the Frogs drove into Kennedale territory before the Wildcats?s defense stopped them and forced a punt. The Cats then drove for 65 yards and a touchdown and a 24-0 lead. By halftime the score was 38-0. Kennedale had rolled up 257 yards to 46 yards for Lake Worth in the first half of play.
