Nolan Christopher Culton

June 12, 1957 ~ January 8, 2021 (age 63)

Nolan Christopher “Chris” Culton, 63, passed away on January 8th, 2021 at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, Texas. He was born on June 12, 1957 in Fort Worth, Texas to Elvis Calvert Culton and Mary Jane Strong Culton.

Chris grew up in Kennedale, Texas, graduating from Kennedale High School in Kennedale, Texas in 1976.

Chris was a dedicated Eagle Scout, with Gold and Silver Palms.  He received his Associates Degree from TCJC in Fort Worth, Texas.  He worked as an Aerospace Engineer at Lockheed Martin, and recently received his 25-year certificate for his dedication and hard work. He was an ordained Deacon at Tate Springs Baptist Church, he was a leader in Royal Ambassadors (RA) at Tate Springs, and was involved in many church activities at Tate Springs Baptist Church and South Oaks Baptist Church.

Chris married the love of his life Becky in 1980 in Arlington, Texas. They were happily married for 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting his guns, and spending time on the family farm.  He also liked old cars and going to the race tracks. Chris also loved to travel having traveled to all 50 states.  Most of all, Chris enjoyed bringing joy to children of all ages everywhere playing a role as Santa no matter where he went. 

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Elvis Calvert Culton, and his brother, Michael Elvis Culton.

Chris is survived by his mother, Mary Jane Strong Culton of Rendon, Texas and his wife Becky Culton of Arlington, Texas and his son and daughter Christopher “Don” Culton and Annalisa Culton of Arlington, Texas; his brothers Dennis (Melinda) Culton of Arlington, Texas and Terry (Kathy) Culton of Kennedale,Texas; his grandchildren Crimsin Underwood, Jolie Demers, Brianna Culton, Seth Culton, Corey Demers, and Emma Culton; and his nieces and nephews James Culton, Denise Culton, Daniel Culton, David Culton, Kailey Culton, Kelsey Culton, Jason Culton, Katie Culton; his great nephews Jaden Culton, and Caleb Culton, of El Paso, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at South Oaks Baptist Church, 5925 US Hwy 287 N. Frontage Roads Arlington, Texas 76017 at 3 PM, Sunday, January 17th.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are to be made to Mission Arlington 210 W. South Street Arlington, Texas 76010.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to South Oaks Baptist Church and all his family and friends.
