ITEMCOVID-19 … via Fort Worth Star Telegram – Tarrant finished its deadliest week with a report on Sunday of 36 coronavirus deaths, including a woman in 20s, and a man in his 30s and a total of 1,736 cases on Sunday. ITEM – SPORTS/BASKETBALL – via Dallas Morning News – On the leader board in the latest DFW area stats list – Kennedale Basketball Lady Kat Reagan Jackson is 6th overall in points score so far this season with 257 points at an average of 18. (Top leader is Jasmine Shavers, Mesquite Horn with 473 with a 26.3 ave). Reagan is also 18th in 3-point shots with 29 and a 2.1 average. (Top Leader is Olivia Brennan, Trinity Christian – Addison with 72 at a 3.8 average per game).

ITEM – SPORTS/FOOTBALLvia dfwVarsity – The season final defensive stats for area football players are out. Kennedale Wildcat players that were listed included RJ Pepper (JR) 25 tackles for loss, Braden Waters (JR) 18 tackles for loss, and Antoine Martin (JR) with 17 tackles for loss.

ITEM – FILING FOR OFFICE … Deadline to file for office for the Kennedale City Council or the Kennedale School Board is February 12, 2021, at 5 pm.
