KPD Police Reports for the two week period December 06 – 19, 2020

The following is based on the City of Kennedale Police reports for the time period given. This does not include calls for which no report was written, and some of these offenses — after further investigation — may be deemed unfounded.

Twenty incidents were reported during these two weeks. Incidents included burglary, possession, robbery, and family violence.

Incidents Reports: 11/06/20 – 12/12/20

12/06 — Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) Magnolia Drive … At 5:23 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A male victim reported that he was assaulted by his grandmother. The victim stated that the grandmother assaulted him during an argument they were having. The assault was recorded on video. While being arrested for the family violence assault, the suspect began to have medical issues and required transport to a hospital. She was released from custody pending a warrant being issued at a later date. She was then transported by medics for medical assistance. 

12/07 — Indecency w/Child (Sexual Contact) Spring Branch Lane … At 1:30 p.m. an officer received a report of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact. The offense was perpetrated by a known suspect. The case is under investigation by police and Child Protective Services.

12/07 — Burglary of Vehicle Bowman Springs Road … At 3:55 p.m. a victim reported the burglary of several business vehicles. 

12/08 — Possession of Control Substance W. Kennedale Parkway … At 12:17 a.m. officers responded to a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot. A male and female were observed in a gray Chevrolet Tahoe. The male was wanted by Fort Worth police for vehicle burglary and was arrested for the active warrant. He was also found to be in possession of a syringe loaded with a narcotic. The suspect was charged with the narcotic as well. He was transported to jail for booking.

12/09 — Drugs/Narcotics S. New Hope Road … At 2:32 a.m. an officer checked a vehicle in Sonora Park. The vehicle was occupied by a male and a female. The male was determined to have methamphetamine on his person as well as paraphernalia used to ingest the narcotic. The male was placed under arrest and transported to jail for booking. 

12/09 — Robbery (Strong Arm) W. Kennedale Parkway … At 5:47 p.m. officers responded to a robbery in progress. On arrival, a male and two females were detained. The suspect in the robbery was the male. He was charged with the offense. 

12/10 — Assault by Contact (Family Violence) N. Little School Road … At 4:33 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A female victim reported that during an argument with the male suspect, he pushed her against a wall. The suspect was charged with the assault. 

12/11 — Burglary of Vehicle Wildcat Way … At 8:55 p.m. a victim reported that she left her purse locked in the rear seat of her vehicle. Unknown suspect(s) broke out a window and removed the purse. 

12/10 — Criminal Mischief (Substantial Inconvenience) Peachtree Court … At 6:35 p.m. a victim reported that a known suspect placed her belongings outside of her residence. The offense is the result of an on-going civil dispute over the back rent owed. 

12/12 — Assault by Contact (Family Violence) Peachtree Court … At 4:47 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Two sisters who share a residence had been in an argument. One of the sisters pushed the other during the argument. The suspect was issued a citation for the offensive contact. The victim reported she is in the process of moving out. 

12/12 — Reckless Damage or Destruction Ruth Drive … At 1-:22 p.m. a victim reported having a confrontation with a guest (suspect) at his home. The suspect was in possession of a narcotic and was asked by the victim to leave. The suspect used his vehicle to damage the victim’s garage door before leaving the residence. 

12/12 — Disorderly Conduct (Noise) S. Kenney Street … At 6:28 p.m. officers responded to a person with a gun complaint. Two female suspects were reported to be armed with a handgun and beating on the door of a residence. The suspects fled the scene as officers arrived and were detained. No firearm was found but the suspects did create a disturbance while attempting to contact the resident of the home. A disorderly conduct charge was filed and the suspects released at the scene. 

Incident Reports: 12/13/20 – 12/19/20

12/15 — Unauthorized Use of Vehicle Arthur Drive … At 12:08 a.m. a victim reported that her vehicle, a Ford truck, was taken by a known male suspect. The suspect had been staying with the victim but did not have permission to use the vehicle.

12/14 — Assault by Contact S. Kenney Street … At 4:34 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A male and female had been arguing when the female reported that the male pushed her down. The male left the scene but flagged down an officer who was responding. It was determined that both parties had assaulted each other but neither was injured. They were both cited for simple assault. 

12/15 — Theft $2,500 to $30,000 E. Kennedale Parkway … At 9:30 a.m. a victim reported a missing rental trailer from his business. The trailer had been rented out but never returned.

12/15 — Assault by Contact North Road … At 7:31 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A female reported that she had been assaulted by a male that she lives with and shares children with. The male reported that he had been assaulted by the female as well. Both persons failed to cooperate with officers any further than to tell their side of the story. Officers determined that both parties were guilty of assault by contact. They were cited and released. 

12/17 — Burglary of Vehicle Swiney Hiett Road … At 10:01 a.m. a victim reported that an unknown male entered her property at 2:56 a.m. The male entered the victim’s two vehicles and removed a backpack. The event was captured on security video. 

12/17 — Death Investigation Oliver Court … At 5:37 p.m. officers responded to a death investigation. An adult female was found unresponsive in the bathroom of her home. An officer performed CPR with the victim’s husband. The female was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The female was pronounced deceased by the hospital. Foul play is not suspected at this time.

12/18 — Assault by Contact (Family Violence) S. Kenney Street … At 11:53 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Two females had been in an argument when one of the female shoved the other. The offending female had left before officers arrived. She will be charged with the assault by contact at a later date.

12/19 — Theft $100 to $750 4th Street … At 10:32 a.m. an officer responded to a theft report. A known male suspect had removed bags of clothing from the location.
