I apologize for the extensive delay in releasing a statement. I’ll be quite honest, this has been very difficult for me, but I’ve had some time to reflect on the situation. Serving as your council member for Kennedale has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

Since taking office, I’ve had the privilege to work closely with countless residents, municipal employees, elected officials, community leaders and others to move Kennedale forward. It was not easy, but together, we have brought incredible positive change to our city and set the stage for this momentum to continue in the coming years. I appreciate all the many calls of support, concern, questions and thanks.

As I’ve reflected, I’ve come to the understanding that this new path will give me some much deserved time spent with my family and growing my business. I’m not quite sure what’s in store for me and the city of Kennedale moving forward, but I will continue to pray for a positive future and that our leadership will make good choices.

Thank you for allowing me the special gift of serving you and being your voice. I absolutely love serving people and serving must just be in my blood. I never imagined in a million years as a little boy growing up in a small town I would one day lead a town, especially during our nations worst pandemic. I have had many great accomplishments in my time on council and I hope many citizens can benefit from them for years to come.

God has certainly blessed me and my family beyond words. While I may be leaving this position, my public service to Kennedale will not end. My level of dedication, passion and service will not falter as I serve our community in other ways. Our best days lie ahead, and together, we will continue to achieve great things.

Take care, God bless you, your family and this great city.
