Kennedale, TX – The Kennedale City Council has approved contracting with Meals On Wheels of Tarrant County to provide activities and meals at the Kennedale Senior Center Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. We will be kicking off our partnership on November 1st. All Seniors in our community are invited to participate.
The Kennedale Senior Center strives to provide the best possible programming and services for the citizens of Kennedale.
There have been many challenges since Covid-19 and the Center has been looking for ways to improve the quality of life for our senior population after many months of closure, change, and setbacks.
Partnering with Meals On Wheels will allow us to provide a variety of fun and exciting opportunities for our members to learn, grow, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and share time together.
“We are proud to team up with the City of Kennedale to provide services to participants of the Kennedale Senior Center,” said Carla Jutson, President & CEO of Meals On Wheels of Tarrant County. “Those age 60 and over can enjoy planned activities that stimulate the body and mind and improve their overall well-being. In addition to a delicious lunchtime meal, participants benefit from social interactions with friends, which help combat senior isolation and loneliness.”
If an individual is interested in visiting an adult activity center but lacks transportation, he or she may qualify for limited transportation assistance. Application
