SPRINGTOWN ? Running back Juwan Washington rushed for 338 yards and six touchdowns as Kennedale pulled away from Burkburnett 57-28 in a Class 3A Division I bi-district playoff game Thursday night at Porcupine Stadium.

Burkburnett (4-7) had no answer for Washington, who opened the second half with an 18-yard kickoff return and then raced 78 yards to give the Wildcats a 29-8 lead with 11:39 left in the third quarter.
The teams traded scores from that point with Washington, who carried the ball 22 times, adding a 32-yard TD run before giving the Wildcats a scare early in the fourth quarter.
Washington appeared to have a left leg injury after a 7-yard gain with 9:28 left in the game. The junior came out long enough for Donny Darville to score on a 21-yard run two plays later, giving Kennedale a 43-20 lead.
Washington, however, returned on Kennedale?s next series, capping his night with a 41-yard scoring run with 6:44 left.
Darville added 181 yards on the ground and ended Kennedale?s scoring with a 51-yard touchdown.
Kennedale opened the scoring when Washington darted off tackle from 25 yards. It was the second play following a fumble recovery by Wildcats safety Jake Michener that ended Burkburnett?s first drive.
Following a short Bulldogs punt, Kennedale drove 52 yards in 11 plays to take a 14-0 lead with 2:08 left in the first quarter. Washington did the honors, this time from 26 yards.
Washington also had a 57-yard touchdown run, giving Kennedale a 22-8 halftime lead.
