Taylor squeaks by with 3 votes in unofficial returns

Saturday, newcomer Jeff Krieger came as close as any candidate has in recent memory of upsetting a sitting KISD Board member. In unofficial results with 100% of the votes counted 15 year school board veteran and current KISD Board President, Joe Taylor won re-election 552-549. {{more}}
 
It was the closes election in all of Tarrant County on Saturday.
 
Kreiger as of late last night was not sure what his next move would be and posted the following statement.
Jeff Kreiger falls short of

election upset

?All six precincts have reported and the election was very close. The final tally was 549 for me and 552 for my opponent. Because of the very close margin of this vote I am not going to concede until I explore all of my options. I promise as soon as the totals are canvassed I will do the right thing by Kennedale ISD.?
 
Earlier Kreiger posted a thank you to his supporters saying, “As the results begin to come in this evening I wanted to

take this moment to thank all the supporters of mine, both silent and visible,

during this campaign. I could not of done this without you all.”

 
At the time of this posting Joe Taylor had not made a statement.
 
Two other candidates won election to the KISD School Board, running unopposed were incumbent Rhonda Barnes and newcomer Leslie Carruthers.
 
A little over 1,000 voters took the time to express their opinion and it came down to three votes. Some will argue that most residents are content with things and didn?t see a need to vote. Others will say people don?t think change will happen and that it is doesn?t really matter if they vote at all. Three votes mattered in this election.
